About Me

A woman with light skin and brown hair holding a sleeping baby, with a cozy home background.

Hi, I'm Sarah, a Birth & Postnatal Doula and Hypnobirthing Instructor based in North London.

My interest in pregnancy, birth and women's health started long before I became a doula. Growing up with a mother who worked in gynaecology, conversations about women, babies and birth were a normal part of life, and from a young age I was fascinated by both the human body and mind.

Before becoming a doula, I spent 15 years working as an Executive Assistant, supporting senior leaders in busy and demanding environments. Looking back, what I enjoyed most wasn't the corporate world itself, but the opportunity to provide personalised support, helping people navigate the challenges and responsibilities of everyday life. Over time, I realised I wanted to bring those skills into a career that felt more meaningful and aligned with my values.

Over the years, I've trained in psychodynamic counselling, yoga, massage, herbal medicine and holistic wellbeing, while travelling extensively and learning from different cultural approaches to pregnancy, birth and postpartum care. I'm endlessly curious about how women have been supported through this transition across different communities and traditions, and I love weaving that knowledge into my work with families today.

In 2023, I trained as a doula with Nurturing Birth, completed my Hypnobirthing Instructor training with The Calm Birth School, and later achieved Advanced Recognition with Doula UK. In early 2025, I travelled to India to study Ayurvedic approaches to pregnancy and postpartum, deepening my understanding of traditional maternal care and recovery.

I'm particularly passionate about birth physiology, nutrition, nervous system support, parental mental health and creating positive birth and postpartum experiences. I believe that the way we support parents during pregnancy, birth and the early weeks after can have a lasting impact on the wellbeing of the whole family.

I'm particularly passionate about supporting physiological birth and helping families understand how environment, mindset and support can influence the birth experience. Through antenatal preparation, hypnobirthing, continuous labour support and informed decision-making, I help parents approach birth with greater confidence, while feeling supported whatever path their journey takes.

Postnatally, my focus is on helping families settle into life with their baby as gently as possible. Through practical support, nourishing meals, emotional care and a focus on recovery, I help create the conditions that allow parents to rest, recover and enjoy those early weeks with their new baby.

If you're looking for thoughtful, personalised support through pregnancy, birth or postpartum, I'd love to hear from you.

  • I cannot say enough good things about Sarah as a doula! She was absolutely incredible and made my second pregnancy a completely different (and much better!) experience than my first. From the very beginning, Sarah was warm, supportive, and knowledgeable. She took the time to really listen to my concerns and needs, offering advice and emotional support every step of the way. Her presence during the pregnancy gave me so much peace of mind.

  • Having Sarah around after the birth of my first son was like having a security blanket. It was so reassuring to have someone knowledgeable by my side to help build my confidence all while creating a calm and peaceful environment. Sarah did everything from troubleshooting problems with me, to changing & washing my bedding! She’s someone I found a deep connection with and I will forever be thankful to have had her by my side.

You have gone above and beyond to support her young family and we very much appreciate all the help you have provided. I know that the health professionals working with her have also appreciated the invaluable help provided by you. You have made a significant difference to the family's wellbeing at a time of great need and your support will have ongoing benefits for the family.

  • Sarah was amazing and supported us in the eight weeks after our second daughter’s arrival. She cooked delicious hearty meals, tidied up the house and generally helped with domestic tasks like laundry etc. She is kind and easy to chat to and was extremely responsive to any additional tasks that we needed help with. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

  • Sarah just became part of my ‘bubble’ naturally as I went into labour – this is hard to explain because I am someone who is very guarded and who doesn’t easily allow someone near me. Somehow during our antenatal sessions Sarah built enough trust for me to just let her into my bubble during labour. She provided me with physical support (literally a shoulder to lean on as my contractions got stronger), gentle emotional encouragement without being over the top or pushy, and a steady voice advocating for me. Sarah read my body language and understood my needs even before I had to articulate it – she helped me when I was struggling, encouraged me when I felt I could not do it, and knew when to step back to let my partner support me. It never felt she was ‘in the way’ yet she was able to help and support actively throughout. She was truly a Godsend and she helped me have the birth that I wanted and truly believed that I would not be able to have before I met her.
